President Droupadi Murmu on Friday highlighted the crucial role of modern technologies in transforming the medical sector for the betterment of individuals residing in remote areas. She emphasized the significant impact these advancements have had on human lives during her speech at the second convocation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The President underscored the immense responsibilities borne by medical professionals, whose decisions are directly related to saving lives. She projected their decisive role in realizing the dream of 'Viksit Bharat' or a developed India by the year 2047.

President Murmu specifically praised AIIMS Raipur for its efforts towards using technology to aid healthcare delivery in remote areas. She mentioned the institution's development of an AI-based clinical decision support system, designed to offer real-time assistance to doctors during emergencies in remote regions. She also noted the expansion of medical colleges and increased availability of MBBS and PG seats over the past decade as steps towards universal healthcare.
