Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has unveiled 'Gruha Arogya', a pioneering healthcare scheme to deliver free medical check-ups and treatment directly to citizens' homes.
Aimed at curbing non-communicable diseases, the initiative initially targets Kolar district and will expand statewide within two months.
With a significant budget of Rs 92.75 crore, the program seeks to improve early detection rates and reduce mortalities associated with chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension. Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao described it as a visionary step towards safeguarding rural lives across Karnataka.
