Twenty-nine out of the 151 gram panchayats in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district have achieved tuberculosis-free status, according to officials who made the announcement on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain commended the collaborative efforts of the district administration and the health department in bringing about this success, as outlined in an official statement.
Hussain emphasized that the TB-free panchayats would be subject to ongoing monitoring to ensure they retain their status in the following year, underscoring the district's goal to become completely TB-free.
