Healthcare services across Rajasthan experienced significant disruptions on Monday as resident doctors took a stand by suspending all services. Their demands for better stipend, enhanced safety at workplaces, and improved facilities have gone unattended, prompting this drastic measure.
The doctor's action comes after prolonged negotiations dating back to August, where the government's promises remained unmet. Dr. Manohar Siyol, president of the Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD), expressed disappointment over the lack of administrative response, forcing the doctors to escalate their protest.
Efforts to recruit doctors through exams and interviews by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) have also sparked concern among the striking doctors. They continue to withdraw from services, holding firm on prerequisites for merit-based recruitment and safer working conditions in the state's medical institutions.
