Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a milestone in Kashi's healthcare journey with the inauguration of the RJ Sankara Eye Hospital in Varanasi. Adityanath praised the efforts of the Sankara Eye Foundation, which has been pioneering vision restoration since 1977, inspired by Shankaracharya. The new hospital is expected to play a pivotal role in meeting the healthcare needs of residents across Kashi, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
With Rs 2,500 crores invested in the sector and multiple projects like the Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Hospital, Kashi is witnessing unparalleled development in healthcare. The region reflects the broader progress achieved by Uttar Pradesh under Modi's leadership, including the establishment of medical colleges and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the state.
