President Droupadi Murmu has called for stringent measures against individuals making misleading claims under the guise of Ayurveda, exploiting the public's strong faith in this traditional medicine system.

Speaking at the eighth foundation day of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), she underscored the essential contributions of research investment and quality enhancement in Ayurvedic medicines, alongside empowering educational institutions dedicated to the field.

Murmu stressed the importance of aligning Ayurvedic products with international standards to facilitate global exports, recognizing Ayurveda’s potential as a scientific discipline on the world stage. Her address highlighted the growing international interest in Ayurveda and Yoga, viewing them as integral to holistic health.
