In a significant escalation of regional tensions, an Israeli strike on Marjayoun, a town in southern Lebanon, narrowly missed its main hospital on Friday, striking just five meters from the entrance.
The hospital's director, Mounes Klakesh, informed Reuters that no injuries were sustained among the medical staff. However, due to the precarious security situation, they have decided to temporarily evacuate all personnel.
Klakesh emphasized that this decision is a precautionary measure until further clarity is obtained regarding the safety conditions in the area. Such actions highlight the ongoing volatile environment impacting healthcare facilities in conflict zones.
