These grievances have been forwarded to the State-Level Grievance Redressal Committee, established following protests by junior doctors who have been ceasing work. The junior doctors resumed their protest, sparked initially by a disturbing incident at RG Kar Medical College. Among the demands are better police protection in hospitals and addressing corruption in the health department.
