Pakistan’s Polio Crisis: 26 Cases Reported This Year

Pakistan's battle with polio has intensified as the tally for this year reached 26 cases, following the confirmation of two additional cases, according to recent media reports.
The newly reported cases emerged in Karachi East and Sujawal districts of Sindh province, marking their first appearance in these areas this year, Dawn newspaper reported, citing an official from the Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication.
Prime Minister's Focal Person on Polio, Ayesha Raza Farooq, expressed her concerns, highlighting that the disease is preventable through vaccination and urging parents and community leaders to take immediate action in vaccinating all children.
