The Delhi High Court rejected the Centre's application to recall its order instructing the release of Rs 10 crore to AIIMS Delhi for the treatment of children suffering from rare diseases.

The court highlighted that discontinuation of the treatment of 18 children would adversely affect their health, thus necessitating the immediate release of funds.

Justice Prathiba M Singh mandated that the funds be released within three working days, or the joint secretary of the Union health ministry must appear in court on the next hearing date.
