Arunachal Pradesh CM Assures Significant Upgrade for Rama Krishna Mission Hospital
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has committed funds for upgrading Rama Krishna Mission Hospital to a 200-bed facility. He highlighted the state's resource growth, ensuring no shortage of funds for critical infrastructure, particularly in health, and lauded RKMH's contributions to healthcare and education in the state.

On Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu pledged financial support for upgrading the Rama Krishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) to a 200-bed facility.
Khandu requested RKM authorities to quickly submit a detailed plan to the state government, assuring that the necessary funds would be made available. He highlighted that Rs 62 crore had already been earmarked for the project.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating various facilities at the hospital, including a liquid medical oxygen plant, ICU, emergency care center, police post, and sports arena, the Chief Minister acknowledged RKMH's contributions. He emphasized the state's determination to overhaul its healthcare infrastructure post-COVID-19, with multiple district hospitals and health centers receiving upgrades in facilities, equipment, and manpower.
Khandu noted that the state government had installed liquid medical oxygen plants at seven strategic locations, including RKMH Itanagar, significantly enhancing the state's healthcare capacity. He also shared plans for two additional medical colleges to be established in the coming years under the PPP mode.
The Chief Minister praised the Rama Krishna Mission for its long-standing service in the state, providing education and healthcare since before Independence. He urged expedited efforts to complete the hospital upgrade by its golden jubilee celebration in 2028.
