The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated a public awareness campaign to combat malaria and dengue under the EMBED programme, an official disclosed on Monday.

Partnering with Godrej Consumer Products Limited through corporate social responsibility, the state has launched a multi-city initiative to address the issue, said Dr. Himanshu Jayswar, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Health Services during a press briefing.

EMBED aims to reduce malaria and dengue deaths to zero by 2030 by employing a multifaceted approach. The campaign has already contributed to a significant drop in cases, helping the state advance from Category 3 to Category 1 in malaria elimination since 2015.
