A 26-year-old Mpox patient was discharged from Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital, according to officials. The patient had been in the hospital's disaster ward for 12 days.
The patient, a resident of Hisar, Haryana, was admitted on September 8, with doctors confirming the Mpox diagnosis on September 9. He was discharged on September 21.
LNJP Hospital has 20 isolation rooms dedicated to Mpox cases, with additional rooms available at Guru Teg Bahadur and Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospitals. The World Health Organization recently declared Mpox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern due to its spread across Africa.
