Fortis Healthcare Appoints Indrajit Banerjee as Interim Chairman

Fortis Healthcare has appointed Indrajit Banerjee as the interim Chairman effective October 1, 2024, following Ravi Rajagopal's decision to step down. The company is evaluating candidates for a permanent Independent Director and Chairman role.

Fortis Healthcare announced on Monday the appointment of Indrajit Banerjee as Interim Chairman until a permanent successor is found.

Banerjee, who currently serves as an Independent Director, will assume the role starting October 1, 2024, as per a regulatory filing by the company.

The move follows the impending resignation of Ravi Rajagopal, who will step down from the position on September 30, 2024. Fortis Healthcare is actively seeking a candidate for the Independent Director and Chairman position, pending necessary corporate approvals.
