Manipur Health and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan announced a critical rise in dengue cases, urging residents to actively participate in measures to curb the vector-borne disease. In a recent press conference, he disclosed that dengue cases increased from 148 in August to 230 in September.

Minister Ranjan underlined the significance of community involvement in the fight against dengue. He remarked that the health department cannot tackle the issue alone.

'Community and household participation is essential,' Ranjan said. He noted that despite the efforts of officials and staff, public cooperation has been lacking, with some residents refusing access for inspections of mosquito breeding sites.
