Mental wellness is now a core component of employee well-being programmes, with 74 per cent of employers providing mental health services as part of their insurance offerings, according to a report by Prudent Insurance Brokers.

Companies are increasingly expanding outpatient care and counseling services to enhance both physical and mental well-being, boosting productivity, the report revealed. The study, which examined 3,100 organizations across various sectors, highlighted the importance of competitive employee packages in attracting top talent.

The report noted that comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, wellness, and flexible options, are highly preferred by 75 per cent of employees. Preventive healthcare and OPD benefits have seen a 30-40 per cent uptake increase. Sectors such as BFSI, Healthcare, Power, and Engineering are placing an emphasis on preventive screenings and mental health support.
