In a concerted effort to address the mpox outbreak in Africa, several countries have pledged to donate vaccine doses. This follows the World Health Organization's emergency declaration in August.
Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the United States, and the European Union have all committed to sharing doses to alleviate the inequities faced by African nations during the global outbreak.
Canada will donate up to 200,000 doses, while France and Germany have each pledged 100,000. Spain and Japan are also contributing significant amounts. The U.S. and the EU aim to provide additional support through financial aid and coordinated donations.
