Typhoon Yagi and the landslides and floods it triggered in northern Vietnam have killed at least 82 people, with 64 others missing, according to the national disaster management agency.

The fatalities largely came from landslides and flash floods, the agency said in a comprehensive report. Cao Bang province was hit hardest, recording 19 deaths and 36 people still unaccounted for.

Authorities are tirelessly working to locate the missing individuals as efforts continue to mitigate the disaster's impact.
