Germany Implements Temporary Border Controls

Germany will initiate temporary border controls in coordination with neighboring countries, Interior Minister Nancy Faeser announced on Monday, ensuring minimal disruption to border regions.
Faeser emphasized the importance of partnership with France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark to reduce the impact on daily commuters and cross-border activities.
The new controls are set to begin on September 16, 2023, and are expected to last for a period of six months.
