Resident doctors from several major hospitals, including AIIMS and Safdarjung, organized a candlelight march on Wednesday night to demand justice and show solidarity with fellow healthcare professionals. This event intensified their call for better safety measures.
The march, held within the hospital premises, aimed to spotlight the urgent issues facing medical staff and seek justice for a trainee doctor who was recently raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The movement, known as #JusticeForRGKar, has garnered widespread attention.
From 9 pm to 10 pm, resident doctors marched in silence, holding posters and raising slogans. Parth Mishra, Vice President of RDA GTB, stated that although the doctors had ended their strike, their fight for justice continues. After the Supreme Court intervened, doctors resumed duties on August 22 but remain committed to their cause.
