Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav on Monday unveiled the government's plans to inaugurate special medical stores in every tehsil across India to ensure the adequate availability of AYUSH medicines.

The Union AYUSH Minister highlighted the government's contemplation on methods to grant Ayurvedic medicines, based on traditional wisdom, their deserved recognition.

Prataprao Jadhav emphasized that Ayurveda's traditional knowledge has been transgenerational. Despite the efficacy of Ayurvedic medicines, they often lack recognition. The minister pointed out the scarcity of AYUSH medicines in common medical stores, causing inconvenience to both patients and doctors. The government aims to bring AYUSH drugs into the market abundantly after thorough research and ensure their widespread availability by opening at least one special medical store in every tehsil.

Additionally, AYUSH hospitals are also being established at the tehsil level. The minister oversaw facility reviews at various medical institutes in Indore, Dewas, and Ujjain.
