Rela Hospital Partners with Abhinav Bindra Foundation and SOAR to Provide Free Sports Surgery Implants

Chennai's Rela Hospital has teamed up with the Abhinav Bindra Foundation and SOAR Trust to fund orthopaedic, spine, and sports injury treatments. The collaboration will provide free sports surgery implants and low-cost procedures, ensuring quality care for athletes, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.

The Chennai-based Rela Hospital has entered into a strategic partnership with the Abhinav Bindra Foundation and the Spine & Orthopedics Action and Research Trust (SOAR) to fund treatments for orthopaedic, spine, and sports injuries.

Under this partnership, the hospital will offer free implants for sports surgeries while performing the procedures at a nominal fee, with the SOAR Trust covering the associated costs. Athletes can avail of these services by presenting a certificate from their educational institution.

Prof. Mohamed Rela, Chairman of Rela Hospital, emphasized the commitment to ensuring top-notch care for athletes, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Dr. Prakash Ayyadurai, Head of the Department of Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine, highlighted the importance of making specialized treatments accessible to foster a renewed interest in sports.
