Goa Government Boosts Highway Emergency Services
The Goa government announced plans to establish emergency care centres along the state's highways. The health department will deploy advanced ambulances to improve response times. The aim is to reduce emergency response delays, as there were 23 complaints in the last three years.

The Goa government has announced the establishment of emergency care centres along the state's highways to enhance accident response capabilities. Minister Vishwajit Rane informed the assembly on Thursday that the health department is actively setting up these centres and will deploy ambulances on highways.
In his written reply, Rane highlighted that nine cardiac care ambulances and two neo-natal ambulances have been procured, with 17 additional advanced lifesaving ambulances in the pipeline.
The initiative aims to reduce response times, addressing the 23 complaints of delayed response by the 108 ambulance service received over the past three years, the minister noted.
