Kerala Teen Succumbs to Nipah Infection; Funeral to Follow International Protocols

A 14-year-old boy from Malappuram, Kerala, who was being treated for Nipah virus infection, passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. According to George, the boy from Pandikkad experienced a massive cardiac arrest at 10:50 am, and despite efforts to revive him, he passed away at 11:30 am.

George mentioned that the boy was on ventilator support and had reduced urine output before the cardiac event. Arrangements for his funeral will follow international protocols, with specific details to be decided after consultations between the district Collector and the boy's family.
