King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to visit Australia and Samoa in October, skipping New Zealand, amid the King's ongoing cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday. The couple will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa, set for October 21-25.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the extensive tour plan has been modified following medical advice. The King's doctors recommended avoiding a prolonged program to focus on the monarch's recovery. Adjustments to the visit may occur based on medical guidance, the palace added.

On Sunday, the palace also released new portraits of King Charles and Queen Camilla adorned with Australian and New Zealand decorations. The King, 75, resumed public duties in April after his diagnosis, and his schedule will be carefully managed to reduce health risks.
