UPDATE 1-Sweden pauses plans for new power cable to Denmark

​Sweden ‌will put on ​hold plans for a ‌new power cable to Denmark, Energy Minister Ebba Busch said ‌on Friday, citing ‌disagreements with the European Commission over the use of ⁠the ​Nordic ⁠country's revenues from electricity congestion charges.

Sweden ⁠earlier this year threatened ​to restrict electricity exports to neighbouring ⁠countries if disagreements with ⁠the European ​Commission over the use of national ⁠funds for EU energy projects ⁠are ⁠not resolved.
