In a bold statement, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has criticized the central government’s recent directive to end priority-based electricity allocation to Tamil Nadu. This decision, he claims, threatens to escalate power costs and strain the state's financial resources.
The issued circular mandates that power generated from central thermal and nuclear stations be sold through competitive bidding. Ramadoss argues this could worsen Tamil Nadu’s already critical electricity scenario.
Highlighting the financial woes of TANGEDCO under current management, Ramadoss warns that residents of Tamil Nadu might face unmanageable tariff increases due to this policy shift.
