Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan underscored the importance of ensuring women's dignity and safety at the workplace, emphasizing it as a legal and social responsibility. He addressed an event aimed at raising awareness about workplace-related laws under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

Kalyan pointed out that understanding and awareness of laws lead to better governance and law-making, essential traits for those involved in the legislative process. He called for a society that supports women stepping out to work, aligning with the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat 2047' as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deputy Speaker Krishan Lal Middha reflected on Indian traditions celebrating women's roles, emphasizing their integral contribution to household and societal prosperity. He acknowledged societal changes due to campaigns like 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', which have fostered positive shifts in the societal perception of women.
