In a significant move, IndianOil announced on Thursday the substantial augmentation of its Auto LPG supplies to Bengaluru, increasing volumes by over 300% in response to sharp demand surges. The surge is attributed to ongoing geopolitical disruptions affecting private sector supply chains.
On Wednesday, IndianOil supplied 75.53 metric tonnes (MT) of Auto LPG in Bengaluru, a notable increase from the usual daily supply of around 23 MT prior to the disruption. This increase highlights IndianOil's commitment to maintaining continuous fuel availability for Bengaluru's mobility ecosystem.
The disruption of private Auto LPG dispensing stations, which account for almost 80% of the market in Karnataka, has shifted customer traffic towards IndianOil outlets, creating long queues. In response, IndianOil has implemented an operational strategy to keep all its outlets in Bengaluru fully functional, ensuring direct service to customers.
