In a landmark achievement, ReNew Energy Global Plc announced the commissioning of a record 2.4 GW of renewable energy assets in the fiscal year 2026. This brings its total operational capacity to 12.6GW, marking it as the second largest in the nation. The announcement comes following the sale of 600MW of assets during 2025-26.
Comprising 1.75GW of solar and 0.62GW of wind, alongside innovative battery energy storage systems, these advancements set a new benchmark for the company. 'This has been a defining year for ReNew,' remarked Sumant Sinha, Founder and CEO, emphasizing the unprecedented scale of their achievements.
As of March 31, 2026, ReNew's gross capacity stands at 20GW, with plans to expand their solar manufacturing capabilities further. Their C&I arm, ReNew Green, continues to deliver with an additional 2.0 GW already commissioned from their 2.5 GW committed capacity, reinforcing their leadership in renewable energy.
