The Assam Rifles held an extensive drone awareness and training event for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, according to a Thursday release. The session, conducted on Wednesday at the Assam Rifles ground, covered different types of drones, their capabilities, and potential security threats.
Given the increasing use of drones in civilian and security spheres, the training prepared CISF members for emerging challenges from unmanned aerial systems, focusing on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in drone encounters like identification and threat assessment.
Participants engaged in live drone operations, gaining practical knowledge in drone handling, and understanding various models' functionalities. The initiative highlighted the significance of inter-agency coordination, boosting technical awareness and confidence in dealing with drone-related issues.
