In a virtual meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant advocated for technology-driven agricultural initiatives. His focus was on the Farmer ID under Agri-Stack, envisioned as a tool to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem for Goa's farmers.
Sawant underscored the significance of digital tools in enhancing service delivery and targeting government schemes more effectively. He highlighted the intention of the Goa administration to empower small and marginal farmers with timely access to resources and fair market opportunities.
The meeting, attended by agriculture ministers from various states, emphasized knowledge sharing and innovation. Sawant praised collaborative efforts and zonal conferences as means to adopt best practices, aligning with PM Modi's vision for a progressive and technology-driven India.
