In a striking move, Karnataka MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal has been expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for six years after criticizing the party's leadership for indulging in dynasty politics. Yatnal accused the Yeddyurappa family of converting the party into a family-run entity, questioning their stronghold over state positions.

Yatnal expressed his discontent during an interview with ANI, directly challenging the influence of BS Yediyurappa and his son, calling it a stark example of nepotism. He reflected on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge to end nepotism and corruption, expressing disappointment over his own expulsion for raising similar concerns.

However, Yatnal was firm in his resolve, refusing to apologize or plead for reinstatement. Instead, he emphasized the support of numerous Karnataka MLAs who share his views, asserting their commitment to preserving BJP's core values against dynasty influence. Despite his critique, Yatnal remains loyal to the BJP and ruled out aligning with opposition parties, reserving his next move for Vijayadashmi.
