Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday sharply criticized former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of corruption, financial mismanagement, and neglecting Delhi's governance in favor of Punjab. Sachdeva reacted to an FIR filed against AAP national convenor Kejriwal and other party members, alleging the city has suffered from 'misgovernance, corruption, and debt' under Kejriwal's administration.

Speaking to ANI, Sachdeva said, 'During Arvind Kejriwal's tenure, Delhi has been engulfed in corruption and financial turmoil,' contrasting this to the BJP's administration, which he claimed has provided a Rs1 lakh crore budget for the capital's development and has been actively working on various local projects.

Sachdeva questioned Kejriwal's presence in Delhi, noting his frequent travels to Punjab, asking if he has spent even 45 hours in Delhi over the past month. He further accused Kejriwal of exploiting both Delhi and Punjab, advising him to reflect on his actions as legal challenges mount against him.

BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal echoed similar sentiments, stating AAP acted with autonomy over the last decade. He warned the repercussions of past misconduct would soon surface. Police confirmed an FIR under the Defacement of Public Property Act was filed against Kejriwal, with ongoing investigations and a court hearing scheduled for April 2025.
