Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated his three-year tenure with a roadshow in Dehradun on Saturday, where he unveiled a series of eco-friendly initiatives.
The state government plans to install solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems on government buildings to save energy and conserve water.
During a workshop under the Jal Sanrakshan Abhiyan 2025, Dhami launched the Bhagirath mobile app, which enables citizens to report endangered water sources for government intervention. The Spring and River Rejuvenation Authority (SARA) has already made significant progress in rainwater storage and water source conservation.
Steps to revive state rivers with IIT Roorkee's aid are also underway, aiming at broader sustainability across Uttarakhand. Under PM Modi's guidance, the state is advancing rapidly in various domains, with water conservation now a major focus.
