The Northeast Frontier Railway has embarked on an ambitious initiative under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for a comprehensive redevelopment of 60 railway stations across the region, primarily focusing on Assam, with 50 stations earmarked for transformation.
Highlighting the progress, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Northeast Frontier Railway, detailed the enhancements, noting the integration of modern facilities, such as lifts, escalators, and improved accessibility features, enhancing the overall passenger experience.
A substantial investment is driving these improvements, with projects at stations like Narengi and Chaparmukh already in advanced stages, as detailed inspection by NFR's General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava confirms.
