Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra is embroiled in legal battles as three complaints were filed against him at Khar police station, following his contentious comments about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The charges originated from the Mayor of Jalgaon city, a Nashik-based hotelier, and a businessman, according to Mumbai Police reports.
Despite being twice summoned for questioning, Kamra has yet to respond. Meanwhile, the Madras High Court has provisionally granted Kamra anticipatory bail until April 7 amid various FIRs against him. This bail comes after Kamra approached the court for protective relief, citing threats related to his satirical remarks.
