The Rising Stars Corps of the Indian Army has successfully neutralized two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, as part of the ongoing 'Operation Safiyan'. Beginning on March 27, the coordination efforts have also led to the recovery of significant war-like stores, according to an official Army post shared on their X handle.

However, the operation hasn't come without sacrifice. The Rising Star Corps reported the tragic loss of a JK police officer during the confrontation with terrorists. In a tribute filled with respect, the army hailed the officer's valiant spirit and supreme sacrifice in fulfilling his duty.

The volatile situation in Kathua remains tense as security forces continue their anti-terror measures. Following recent firefighting incidents, the region has been cordoned off, with persistent search operations by both the Rising Star Corps and Jammu and Kashmir Police continuing to secure the area.
