C S Setty Takes Helm at Indian Banks' Association
C S Setty from SBI has been elected as the chairman of the Indian Banks' Association. SBI's C S Setty was appointed as the new chairman of the Indian Banks' Association on Friday, marking a significant leadership shift in the banking industry. The election result was confirmed by the association's managing committee.
Setty's appointment comes alongside the elections of Union Bank of India's managing director and CEO A Manimekhalai, Punjab and Sind Bank's MD and CEO Swarup Kumar Saha, and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait's country head and India CEO Madhav Nair as the new deputy chairmen.
Additionally, Karur Vysya Bank's managing director and CEO, B Ramesh Babu, was appointed as the honorary secretary. These developments were unveiled after the recent annual general meeting held in the financial capital, which saw participation from notable figures, including Department of Financial Services secretary M Nagaraju.
