Adani Energy Solution Ltd, a key player in electricity transmission, announced on Thursday its acquisition of Mahan Transmission Ltd, as part of its strategy to expand its transmission network with intra-state projects.
The Rs 2,200-crore project involves the installation of 2,800 MVA substations and a 740 circuit kilometer transmission line, increasing AESL's transmission capacity significantly. The initiative will facilitate the evacuation of 1,230 MW from Adani Power's expansion unit in Madhya Pradesh and integrate it into the state grid by April 2027.
This acquisition, secured under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding mechanism, marks AESL's seventh order this fiscal year, furthering its inorganic growth and enhancing shareholder value, as highlighted in their stock exchange filing.
