In a recent visit to Wayanad, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra strongly advocated for regular wages for ASHA workers who have not received their dues for the past five months, urging the Central government to address their longstanding grievances.

Gandhi met with ASHA workers at the Grama Panchayat Community Hall in Sultan Bathery and also launched the 'One School, One Game' Project. Her visit coincided with ASHA workers in Kerala launching an indefinite strike demanding better wages and working conditions.

In addition to advocating for ASHA workers, Gandhi inaugurated multiple projects including a new Gram Panchayat Office complex and smart Anganwadi in Pulpally. She lauded local efforts in disaster relief during past flooding and landslides which had catastrophic impacts on the region.
