Harish Duhan has recently taken over as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), a critical arm of Coal India. With extensive industry experience, he is poised to lead SECL to new heights, focusing on enhancing coal production and embracing technological advancements.

Duhan's appointment comes after his tenure as Director Technical (Operations) at Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), another subsidiary of Coal India. He was recommended for the position by the Public Enterprises Selection Board last December, signifying confidence in his leadership capabilities.

Graduating with a degree in Mining Engineering from Nagpur University, Duhan has been with Coal India since 1989 and has held significant roles across its subsidiaries. His expertise spans first mile connectivity projects, digital transformation initiatives, and solar project development, making him a seasoned leader for SECL's strategic objectives.
