In a sweeping move, Shiv Sena's Pune City leaders have lodged a complaint against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, alleging a performance song to be offensive. According to city president Pramod Bhangire, the act disrespected representatives across Maharashtra, including ex-Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
During an interview with ANI, Bhangire emphasized the seriousness of Kamra's actions, stating that Shiv Sena would not tolerate such behavior. He noted, "To prevent further derogatory remarks, a formal complaint has been registered with Pune Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, urging fast-track legal proceedings against Kamra."
The complaint follows recent unrest as Shiv Sena condemned Kamra's remarks, revealing tension in Maharashtra politics. This comes amidst the opposition slamming the Mahayuti government for failing to maintain law and order. Currently, investigations are underway after a FIR was filed by MIDC police, with further actions pending.
