The Delhi government has taken decisive action against private schools that are compelling students to buy educational materials from designated vendors, a directive fueled by numerous complaints from parents. Authorities emphasized that unaided institutions should operate on a no-profit basis, allowing parents the freedom to source educational materials independently.

According to the Directorate of Education, issues have been raised regarding private Delhi schools enforcing purchases of books and uniforms from specific sellers, causing undue financial pressure on families. The directive aims to curb such practices and promote market competition, ensuring fair pricing and preventing exploitation.

Non-compliance with these orders may lead to punitive measures under the BNS Act. Parents can report grievances via a helpline and email, signaling stringent governmental oversight. Meanwhile, CM Rekha Gupta revealed a Rs 1 lakh crore budget, focusing on significant investments in women's welfare, infrastructure, and healthcare, aiming for enhanced safety and improved connectivity.
