Putin Orders Moratorium on Ukraine Energy Strikes

President Vladimir Putin's directive for a halt on assaults against Ukraine's energy structures remains active, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

The Kremlin announced a temporary freeze on strikes targeting oil refineries, pipelines, and nuclear power plants, agreed upon by Russia and Ukraine. This pause took effect on March 18, following Putin's conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Peskov emphasized compliance by Russia's armed forces with the moratorium, underscoring a bilateral attempt to deescalate tensions.
