L&T Secures Landmark Ultra Mega Order from QatarEnergy LNG

Larsen & Toubro has been awarded an 'ultra mega' order from QatarEnergy LNG for a major offshore hydrocarbon project. This marks the largest single contract for L&T, involving engineering, procurement, and installation of offshore complexes to enhance Qatar's LNG production capabilities.

Larsen & Toubro, a major player in infrastructure, announced on Wednesday that it has secured an ultra-mega order from QatarEnergy LNG, further solidifying its offshore hydrocarbon business.

This significant achievement represents the largest single contract awarded to L&T, as described by the company in a regulatory filing. The contract entails the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes.

Each complex will include large platforms with compression and power generation facilities, located approximately 80 kilometers off Qatar's northeast coast. The order aims to reinforce Qatar's position as a global leader in LNG production, according to L&T's Chairman and Managing Director S N Subrahmanyan.
