Maharashtra Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Ramdas Kadam, has strongly criticized stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra for his controversial remarks, stating that legal action will be taken against him. Kadam emphasized that comments about the Supreme Court, state leaders, and Hindu deities, presented as comedy, are unacceptable in the state.
Addressing the media, Kadam said, "If Kunal Kamra considers this comedy, it won't be tolerated in Maharashtra." He reiterated that Kamra would face legal consequences for creating and remaking provocative songs targeting the government. "Comedy must not elevate above the law," Kadam warned.
In light of recent vandalism incidents, Kadam assured that all perpetrators are in custody and will face justice. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar echoed the stand of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, affirming legal actions against Kamra's comments, which allegedly included derogatory remarks about Eknath Shinde.
