Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has vowed to revive all historical temples in the city of Sambhal, identifying more than 54 pilgrimage sites so far. Efforts are in place to locate the rest, underscoring the importance of these sites to Sanatan Hindu Dharma and India's inheritance, he told ANI.
Adityanath also addressed the controversial issue of mosques built on the ruins of destroyed Hindu temples. He questioned the rationale behind constructing worship places on such sites, stating that such acts are not sanctioned by Islam. He emphasized that these sacred sites symbolize Indian heritage.
Regarding the ongoing Mathura mosque dispute, Adityanath affirmed compliance with the court's directive. Commenting on historical figures like Ghazi Salar Masood, he denounced the glorification of those who attacked India, stressing that there is no place for such figures in New India. This stance follows recent arrests related to violence in Sambhal.
