Kupwara Police Intensifies Crackdown on Banned Separatist Groups
In a concerted effort to counteract separatist activities, Kupwara Police conducted extensive raids across various locales, targeting proscribed organizations. Led by senior officials and supported by legal witnesses, the operations seized critical evidence linked to unlawful activities, furthering multiple investigations under the UAPA.

On Tuesday, Kupwara Police launched a significant offensive against outlawed separatist organizations, conducting numerous raids throughout the district. The targets of these operations were individuals associated with banned groups like Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muslim League, and Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, according to an official statement.
Under the leadership of senior officers, law enforcement searched the homes of suspected separatists believed to be engaging in activities jeopardizing public order and national security. These thorough inspections uncovered incriminating materials related to the proscribed outfits, currently under investigation as part of several FIRs filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The raids, which took place in the villages of Kralpora, Khurhama, Kupwara main town, and Trussu Dragmulla, were conducted with magistrates and independent witnesses present to ensure legal compliance and transparency. Kupwara Police is firmly resolved to disband illegal networks and take decisive action against individuals threatening the region's peace and stability.
Parallel operations were also executed throughout Kulgam, further intensifying efforts against members of illegal associations. (ANI)
