Gas Cylinder Explosion Raises Safety Concerns in Indore
Two individuals sustained injuries following an explosion at an illegal LPG refilling center in Indore. Authorities have seized 17 gas cylinders and promised stricter regulations after the incident occurred in the Azad Nagar area. In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, an LPG cylinder explosion at an unauthorized refilling center resulted in injuries to two people on Tuesday, according to officials. The accident transpired at a makeshift factory in the Azad Nagar police station area at around 11 am.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-1, Vinod Kumar Meena stated, 'Upon receiving the alert, we arrived at the scene to discover that a facility, operated by Ghanshyam Yadav near his residence, was illicitly refilling gas cylinders. During this unlawful activity, an explosion occurred, injuring two individuals who have since been hospitalized.'
Indore Collector Asheesh Singh emphasized the district administration's commitment to curbing such illegal refilling activities. 'We have been actively monitoring these operations and will impose stringent measures, including invoking the National Security Act, to deter black marketing,' said Singh.
